Technikum Laubholz is an independent, non-university research institution that was founded in 2020 on the initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The task of Technikum Laubholz with its approximately 70 employees is to accelerate the development of innovative and high-quality applications for hardwood and to occupy a leading international position for Baden-Württemberg in the use of hardwood-based raw materials.

YOUR TASKS
- Work in an S1/S2 research laboratory specializing in biotechnology
- Conducting enzymatic, microbial, and molecular biology experiments
- Working on laboratory-scale production systems
- Performing in-process (instrumental) analysis
- Preparing, conducting, and following up on experiments
- Documenting and evaluating experimental data in accordance with quality standards
- Assisting in the preparation of equipment manuals, work instructions, and test procedures
- Commissioning, maintenance, and qualification of equipment
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing processes
- Participation in internal and external training and continuing education programs
- Work environment conditions: Handling of chemicals and hazardous substances
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
- Completed vocational training as a chemical/biological technical assistant, chemical/biological laboratory technician, or a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or a comparable field
- Professional experience in a laboratory setting equivalent to an S1 or S2 laboratory, as well as experience working with standard laboratory equipment in a biotechnology research laboratory
- Ideally, knowledge in the fields of chemistry, microbiology, protein biochemistry, and molecular biology
- Experience in instrumental analysis, particularly HPLC
- Experience working with microorganisms and sterile techniques
- Detailed documentation of work
- Confident use of MS Office
- At least basic knowledge of English, very good knowledge of German
