The Technikum Laubholz Future Prize ‘Waldmacher’ – the Forest Maker – recognises those who, between July 2025 and August 2026, help to preserve and protect our forests and secure a future for the forest as a habitat through their ideas and actions.
We want to recognise individuals, initiatives, research institutions, universities, schools, associations, public bodies and companies that are taking special responsibility for a socially, environmentally and climate-friendly future for our planet.

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday 20 September 2026 at the “WALD.IST ZUKUNFT” event at the Forest Pavilion as part of the State Garden Show in Ellwangen.

The ‘Waldmacher’ Future Prize is awarded annually by Technikum Laubholz.

 

The work of the prize winners and nominees will be published on the Technikum Laubholz website and social media channels.

 

All submitted projects must already have started or been completed. Unfortunately, projects that are currently only at the planning stage cannot be considered. You will find all relevant information and instructions for submitting projects in the application form.

Through its project ‘We Protect the Forest – The Forest Makers of Sambuga School’, the school has been actively committed to the conservation and sustainable development of the forest for over two decades.

The aim of their ‘Klimawald Westhausen’ project was to ensure that forest areas could continue to be managed effectively in the future, whilst also combating climate change and its effects..

2023 – 2023 – Pupils at Iselin School, Rosenfeld

Through their project ‘The Forest as a Habitat’, Iselin School, Rosenfeld has taken on the responsibility of ensuring our planet is shaped in a way that is socially, environmentally and climate-friendly.
