The wood-based textile fiber developed by the Technikum Laubholz was the basis for a cooperation between the Technikum Laubholz and the Texoversum Faculty of Textiles at Reutlingen University.

The result, the collection “WDBSD TX® Endless Fiber. Infinite Possibilities.”, designed by the young fashion design talents, was presented exclusively at Neo.Fashion. 2024 as part of Berlin Fashion Week.

The impressive monochrome collection comprises four capsule collections – “Desert Silhouettes”, “Blooming Fiber”, “Sustainable Circles” and “Dead Coral Society” – and is united by modern cuts and an appeal to protect the earth. “The performance of our students in the collaboration was impressive. With their creativity and commitment, they have shown how sustainable and innovative materials can lead to forward-looking designs. I am very proud of how committed and professional the students were in dealing with the challenges of working with a new fiber,” says Prof. Natalie Seng enthusiastically about the students’ work.

The realization of our first collection made of WDBSD TX® would not have been possible without the valuable support of our strong production partners. They have made a significant contribution to turning our vision of a sustainable fashion collection into reality. Through their regional production, our partners not only contributed to strengthening the economy in Baden-Württemberg, but also showed how local production and innovative technology can go hand in hand to create high-quality and sustainable products.

Textiles made 100% in Baden-Württemberg – it’s possible.
