Technikum Laubholz is an independent, non-university research institution that was founded in 2020 on the initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The task of Technikum Laubholz with its approximately 65 employees is to accelerate the development of innovative and high-quality applications for hardwood and to occupy a leading international position for Baden-Württemberg in the use of hardwood-based raw materials.

YOUR TASKS

• Management of the biotechnology department and leadership and development of the team of around 10 employees
• Responsibility for the laboratory infrastructure
• Continuous technology and industry analysis
• Initiating new projects based on the practical needs of the market environment
• Coordination and timely implementation of project assignments in the idea phase before they move on to the project phase
• Responsibility for all occupational safety aspects in the laboratory environment up to S2/L2
• Optimization of internal processes and interfaces
• Responsibility for compliance with legal regulations in the department
• Reporting to the management

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

• University degree in biotechnological process engineering, biotechnology, genetics, molecular biology or a similar field
• At least 5 years of industrial work experience in the biotechnology sector or a similar sector
• Experience in managing and developing employees
• Sound knowledge of project management, process management, innovation management
• Erfahrung im Umgang mit Behörden und der Umsetzung gesetzlicher Anforderungen
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Very good networking in the specialist area and the industry
• Confident handling of Office 365
